BS

For the last couple weeks my upper back has been killing me, so much so that I have started to get dull headaches around my neck area. SO, I call around and find a Orthopedic specialist and tried to make an appt., well they gave me the run around saying that I first had to see the GP and get a referral, I then explained to them that I have a PPO and don't need a referral, "doesn't matter" they say, I need to see the GP first to make sure "it is your back that is hurting" (DUH? I think I know where my back is???)))and of course they have one in their same office that can see me. OK, so I schedule the appt. with the GP and they get me in the same day, I then proceed to explain to the GP that I am there because my back hurts, he then says "Well, I am a GP so I cant really help you with that but we have a great Dr. here that you can see for pain management and I will refer you". SO, a 10 minute appt., half a day of work missed, and a 50$ copay (my deductible had not been met so I had to pay the remainder that was due) to finally get the appt with the Dr. I wanted in the first place, WTF is wrong with this picture????????????????
