My thoughts for today...

Every once in a while I sit and contemplate my life, where I am and where I would like to be, the key word being "like" since we truly never know whats in store. I feel so stagnant right now, cant really make any future plans or goals and for a Virgo, unorganization and the unknown are the worst! I have to really focus on this moment in my life, my children and my husband, they help me focus on the true meaning of life and what my true goals are: Keeping my family together, healthy, happy and keeping our faith. I tend to forget with all the problems and stresses I have in life, that I am truly blessed to have wonderful children that are healthy and happy, and a husband who I share a love with that words cannot even describe, and then I feel a sense of calmness unfold and I realize that everything will be ok.

Things that make you go hmmm............

Sometimes we loose sight of whats important in life and have to remind ourselves how good we have it. Today I received a chain letter at work, I get many of these throughout the day from Friends and colleagues, but this one caught my attention. I had a nice short story with a religious message which I will spare you of because I know that not everyone is religious, but the ending was so empowering and it can easily relate to anyone who is spiritual, it said " Never get to busy making a living, that you forget to make a life!". I have a tendency to focus on the negative, lack of money, the economy, my job etc. and instead I should be thankful that we are all healthy, have food to eat, have a home to live in and many other blessings that I tend to overlook. In the end, whatever will be will be, and my worries will all have been in vain.

Family

Ever since I was a little girl I dreamed of being a wife and a mother (I know cheesy ha?), having the house clean and dinner ready for my husband when he came home from a long day of work, helping my kids with their homework and taking them to sports practice and doing all the other things "moms" do. I never imagined my life would be like this, and at the same time, this is exactly what I wanted, I know I am not making sense, its just one of those things that are hard to explain. I enjoy being a mother and wife and wouldn't change it for anything in the world! I have the family I always dreamed of and I know that we will be happy together wherever we are because like the saying goes "A home doesn't make a family, its the family that makes a home" or something like that right? ;)

My Husband's Birthday and a Personal Note on Family

My beloved will be turning 30 on January 27th, and I cant believe how fast time flies, especially when your having fun ;) We had a small party for him at his parents house this past weekend and many of our old friends came over to reminisce! We have all known each other for at least 14 years and it is amazing to see how everyone has changed and gotten older ;) and that includes us! We have been through so much together and I am thankful that our relationship continues to be exciting and keeps growing stronger. My husband and I were very young when we got together and we never really discussed having a family or and dreams we had for ourselves or each other, we pretty much just went with the flow. With time, we have learned so much from each other and throughout the years we have created goals and dreams of how we want to live and raise our family. The other night we just sat in awe looking at our four children playing, laughing, smiling and having a good time together, after a minute we looked at each other and realized "this is the life we were meant to have".
